WHAT I’VE LEARNED

Expected 2027 - University of Central Florida

Master of Arts in Rhetoric & Composition

I have been accepted into the M.A in Rhetoric and Composition program, which is designed to prepare students for research and careers in teaching composition. The curriculum will focus on writing theory, pedagogy, and composition practices, with an emphasis on effective teaching strategies for writing instruction.

I am one of few students who have been selected for the Graduate Teaching Assistantship, which will allow me to apply what I’ve learned by tutoring individuals seeking writing advice and teaching undergraduate students.

2021 - 2025 - University of Central Florida

Baccalaureate Honors - Cum Laude

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice

Bachelor of Arts in Writing & Rhetoric

Minor in Psychology

Victim Advocacy Certificate

Criminal Profiling Certificate

Burnett Honors College & Lead Scholar Academy

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Rhetoric, a minor in Psychology, and certificates in Victim Advocacy and Criminal Profiling. These programs allowed me to further develop my writing while also learning about rhetoric's application in social science fields, the social implications of language, and the relationship between language and justice. The certificates have allowed me to curate my knowledge and work to the benefit of broader society, particularly those who are uniquely vulnerable.

A key accomplishment during my undergraduate experience was completing an honors undergraduate thesis, which received a scholarship award and was presented at a scholar symposium.

2017–2021 - Lake Nona High School

Top 14% (Ranked 102/773)

3.93 GPA

Nominee - National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine

Invitee - National Society of High School Scholars

During my early schooling, I consistently demonstrated strong academic performance, ranking in the top 14% of my class with a GPA of 3.93. My dedication to excellence was recognized through several prestigious opportunities, including being nominated for the National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine and receiving an invitation to join the National Society of High School Scholars. These experiences affirmed my academic capabilities and encouraged me to seek broader prospects.

Starting in the second year, I will potentially teach two sections of first-year composition each term as part of the First-Year Writing Program.
